Hallelujah - Leonard Cohen

Hallelujah, originally from Leonard Cohen and interpreted by so many since then, each with just as much as solemnity, It seems impossible to ignore the lyrics and the majesty in which they are written to fit in with the melody. Cohen expresses a love that has gone sour using religious references and women from the bible that make the art piece even more majestic.

There is little to say about it that you can't feel by hearing it especially in the interpretation by Rufus Wainwright (which most recognize from the animated film Shrek) one can feel the soul and depth in the song, either by the the use of only the ceremonious sounds of the piano or his entrancing voice. 

 A serene tune and a vexed saying combine quintessentially in an everlasting remembered classic. 

  

El Sentido de la Vida

Hace bastante tiempo que conozco a un famoso equipo de dramaturgos británicos llamados Monthy Pyton. Sinceramente pegaría más que mi padre o mi abuelo fueran fans suyos, pero a mi no me dejan de gustar. Todas sus películas están repletas de ironías, críticas y absurdos; en resumen, de humor inglés. La última película que he podido disfrutar de este grupo fue El Sentido de la Vida.

Un film fantástico compuesto por cortos skechs que, unidos por una reflexión digamos acuática, intentan desvelarnos el sentido de la vida desde miles de perpectivas. Todos estos intentos con un cómico resultado. Es una película para reírse, pero también para reflexionar sobre todos los temas que nos rodean, excepto el sentido de nuestra existencia. Sin duda una película recomendable, al igual que todas las de los Monthy Python.

Las Brujas de Zugarramurdi

Ayer por la tarde decidí sentarme en el sofá para ver esta película de Álex de la Iglesia, sin saber que en los próximos cientonueve minutos iba ha estar viendo una de mis películas favoritas. El film comienza con el atraco a una de las famosas tiendas de "Compro Oro" a manos de Hugo Silva, Mario Casas y compañía. Luego, tras una violenta persecución policial, se dirigen a la frontera francesa, claro está pasando por Zugarramurdi. Y es allí donde comienza la magia, la sangre y las profecías ancestrales. Sin duda una película que merece la pena ver.

Por la parte técnica, tengo que decir que los efectos especiales dejaron algo que desear, pero esto es rápidamente contrarestado por el maquillaje, el vestuario y la interpretación. Bueno, eso ha sido todo por hoy, os dejamos como siempre el tráiler y el link para más información.
